Jennifer Kingsley is a writer and journalist based in Ottawa, Ontario who specializes in cultural stories from around the world, including the polar regions, the South Pacific, and Canadian waterways. At Boreal River, she helps brainstorm and edit stories that expand our understanding of the outdoors and how to get out there safely and with respect.

She is also a National Geographic Explorer and an audio documentary producer, and her first book, Paddlenorth, won the National Outdoor Book Award.
